LAKE AGCO
Lake Agco and its surrounding inland resorts is a popular relaxation place for a lot of people in Kidapawan and surrounding provinces. It is also one of backpackers fave “cooling down” place after hiking Mt. Apo. The mud pack, saunas and jacuzzis of the resorts near Lake Agco is heaven for tired and sore muscles. Recently, I had a chance of going back to Lake Agco and discovered a bit more of what Brgy Illomavis and Lake Agco could offer.

ASIK ASIK FALLS
Asik-Asik Falls or Dulao Falls for the locals is situated in Sitio Dulao of Barangay Upper Dado, Alamada, North Cotabato. It is nested in the lower slope of Mount Ragang, also called as Mount Piapayungan or Blue Mountain, an active strato-volcano that sits in the boundary of Lanao del Sur and North Cotabato. There are various tales and side stories of the discovery of this natural wonder. Some say that it was accidentally discovered by military during a clearing operations, while other say that locals already know the place ever since. The latter seems more true and probable, a beauty of such grandeur would have been impossible to have gone unnoticed. The locals probably just kept it as secret or ignored it thinking it was just a normal scene.

Situated at the foot of Mt. Apo, Barangay New Israel in Makilala is now one of the top destinations in the province. The newly-opened 2.2-kilometer ziplineattract local and foreign adventure seekers. To date, it is the longest zipline in Asia.
New Israel is also the home of the tamed Macaque monkeys, who has been living with community for more than five decades already.

Mount Apo (Cebuano: Bukid Apo) and (Filipino: Bundok Apo) is a large solfataric, potentially active stratovolcano in the island of Mindanao, Philippines. With an elevation of 2,954 metres (9,692 ft) above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Philippine Archipelago and is located between Davao City and Davao del Sur province in Region XI and Cotabato province in Region XII. The peak overlooks Davao City 45 kilometres (28 mi) to the northeast, Digos City 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the southeast, and Kidapawan City 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the west.
